Pune: Managed-hospitality brand Tribe Stays has raised $2.8 million (₹24 crore) in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Artha Venture Fund and co-led by RiverWalk Holdings.
The round included participation from industry leaders and prominent investors such as Kunal Khanna, Krishna Jain, and various family offices, marking a significant milestone for the company as it scales its presence in the organized co-living and student housing segment.
Tribe Stays Funding Round Strengthens Expansion Plans
The capital infusion will support the expansion of Tribe Stays across its three luxury sub-brands – Tribe Student Accommodation, Tribe Commune, and Tribe Suites.

The company currently operates 650 beds in Pune and plans to introduce an additional 1,000 beds within this financial year. Its broader strategy involves growing its portfolio to 25,000 beds across major Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, including Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurugram, and Pune.
Commenting on the funding, Yogesh Mehra, Founder & CEO of Tribe Stays, said the investment validates the brand’s mission to redefine modern living for young India by offering thoughtfully designed spaces, hospitality-led services, and a strong community environment. He added that the fresh funding positions the company to scale into new markets and reinforce its leadership in student housing, co-living, and executive stay categories.

Investors expressed strong belief in the company’s model. Anirudh Damani, Managing Partner at Artha Venture Fund, noted that Tribe Stays addresses a large and underpenetrated market with an asset-light, hospitality-first approach that is both scalable and profitable.
